[art13- first oil painting] i took my first painting class freshmen year of college. we were required to buy $300 worth of art supplies right off the bat. art is expensive. then we did a muncell chart to get acquainted with the sensitivity of the colors, gradations, value etc. then we did a color wheel. then we did color swatch matching until we were to the point that someone could point to anything in the entire universe and we could look at its color and mix it using the set of colors we had. then we did our first oil painting. my prof really liked how the people and the cow are in this strange moment of dialogue.
